Experience the beauty of Brisbane Noodle Night Markets

As the city’s annual good food month, every year, the Brisbane Night Noodle Markets are held which is a month-long celebration of wine and food. Though there are plenty of markets in Brisbane, what steals the attention is the Noodle Night Market. Every year from 25th July to 5th August, Southbank parklands’ western side is transformed into a paradise of Asian street food. Here are some of the things you need to know to have a jolly time at the festival.

  • Cuisines and dishes from different corners of Asia are represented here. Probably, you won’t be able to sample everything that takes your fancy in just one night which is why it is on for 12 nights at a stretch.
  • The climate here makes the event even more delightful. Enjoying hot and spicy food in cold winters of Brisbane! What could be more amazing than this? Take your selection and sit wherever you want, be it be around the Southbank parklands or on the banks of Brisbane River. At times chairs and tables will be short, but that should no way stop you from taking advantage of the delicacy. There’s enough space to settle down.
  • The mild climate of Brisbane with grass and jiggling city lights with good authentic food is what makes the festival successful by attracting tourists and locals in a large number.
  • It has been now running for a few years. And by each year it keeps getting better and bigger. Organizers and vendors keep joining the event with their special cuisines. Starting from authentic Filipino barbeque to bulgogi beef, pork and chilli chicken, dim sims, gow gees, pastries and what not! The food event dishes up everything.
  • An easy walk in the pedestrian walking paths across the Victoria Bridge will take you to the Noodle Night market of Brisbane in Southbank Parklands, Cultural Forecourt. Consider the Brisbane ferry system if you are coming from Riverside.
  • Wanna drive to the festival with a bunch of friends? No worries. The underground parking in the Myers building on the opposite of the river provides parking at $10 throughout the night and weekend.
  • If you use public transport, the closest station is the Southbank train station which is at a walking distance from the principal area.
  • Depending on your appetite, decide how much you want to spend because guess what? The entry is absolutely free. They don't charge for the riverside tables, chairs and the ground. Get there early if you’re planning to go on weekends and grab yourself a table to settle down.
